These flashcards are correlated to
MatchCard Science Botany Unit Study Objective 1 (Compare 6 ecosystems.) They can be used with this or any other program in a variety of ways.
- 1. Shuffle the 3 sets of cards, put them in a stack, and match them one at a time to the Botany MatchCard 1.
- 2. Use two sets, lay them down face forward, and play Memory.
- 3. Use one set of the card and line them up from least to most amount of preciptation. (See below)
- 4. Narrate back: Student draws a random card and has one minute to prepare a two minute talk. (Use the amount of time appropriate.)
- 5. Use the cards in an ecosystem or botany lapbook.
- 6. Use them in a collage or the walls of a small box diorama.
- 7. See the MatchCard Botany Unit Study for other activities.
Ecosystem Coloring Pages
Black and white coloring pages allow younger students to join the activities. Older students can also decorate the pages for inclusion in their unit study books.
These coloring pages are correlated to MatchCard Science Botany Unit Study Objective 1 (Compare 6 ecosystems.) These may be used for lapbooks, unit study covers, or a fun alternative activity. Younger students can participate also in lesson activities by coloring or decorating these pages with any media (crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc.)
While the purpose of Botany 1 is to compare rainfall/precipitation to plant life, animal life is also affected as these coloring pages demonstrate. Each page has three animals typical of that ecosystem.
These can also be used with
MatchCard Zoology Unit Study Objective 6 (Food Web).
